Will my marketing preferences and GDPR permissions be upheld? Do I need to do this again?

No, your status won't change and will be managed as appropriate.

Will my personal data be shared with Shell Energy?

Green Star Energy will send your energy account data (including your personal data) to Shell Energy in order to register and manage your new energy account. Data that is required to maintain supply and ensure effective billing will be transferred including your name, address, contact details, marketing preferences, gas and electricity meter numbers, Direct Debit details (if relevant), and current tariff information. Historic payment transaction data and credit history will not be transferred.

After the transfer takes place, you can ask Shell Energy for details of the data they hold for you. To update/change any of your details before it is transferred to Shell Energy, please contact us as soon as possible.
